Few thoughts from a lazy weekend

- Why do the trashcans at the Tel Aviv Central Bus Station have ashtrays attached if smoking there is forbidden and punishable by a fine?
- It was funny to see people congratulating each other last Saturday and wishing a "Happy Yom Kippur" all over facebook. Just for future notice, it might be better to use words like "meaningful" or "easy".
- Last few stories from IDF are routinely incredible. I'm sure that at some point this Syria mission will be considered on par with Entebbe or bombing of Iraq's nuclear reactor but for now everybody's still trying to understand what happened and what to do with it. Not surprisingly, once the Israeli public approved of this "alleged" act, politicians started trying to take credit. Kind of sad that the real heroes will probably always remain nameless, but I guess that's how it works in these situations.
At the same time, a story that probably didn't make it past our borders was the foiling of a suicide attack by Duvdevan, Shin Bet and others is just as impressive.

  • you are absolutely allowed to smoke in the tel aviv cenmtral bus station. I do it all the time. You are as gay as Mike's feet are flat.
