חג פסח שמח
As I was leaving Jerusalem last week for a spring break, I caught myself on a thought that even though I couldn't wait to get out of this city, there was something a bit more complicated about it. Later on, when asked to describe living there I continuously found myself using the same two words: love and hate. One simply cannot be indifferent to Jerusalem. It's either loved or hated. And that feeling may change from time to time for the majority of people who stay in it. People say that Jerusalem grows on them and they get to love its vibrancy, diversity, passion and its quirks. I can already see that I'm beginning to appreciate living in this place and can't wait to get back now and learn more about it. It helps that I get to talk to people who absolutely love Jerusalem and take their time to show me the beauty of this city.
Israel is gorgeous right now. If I was asked to recommend when to come for a visit, April would have been my answer. When one comes to Israel in April, they'd get to see the sky and the clouds that I was raving about in their full magnificence. They'd see the blooming trees and endless seas of green fields. They'd get to enjoy the sandy beaches and the warm sun. Simply put, spring in Israel is a sight to see.
On that note, I'd like to wish everyone happy Pesach. Celebrate spring and freedom with your friends and family. Next year in Jerusalem!

Why are you saying "Next year in Jerusalem!"? Are you not in Jerusalem yet? Happy Pesach!
