Waking up
I've been here for exactly 1 day now. And yet it doesn't feel that way. It doesn't feel longer or shorter either. Just seems weird. Tough to explain but there is this surreal life that I'm trying to make real. I'm not sure if I feel like I'm visiting on vacation or if it feels like I've been here for a while.
Maybe I'm just jetlagged still. I woke up at 5 am and I knew that I'm tired but I didn't want to sleep. I'm sure it will get normal soon.
Do I really need Hebrew here? At the immigration office yesterday, everybody who works there spoke Russian. The cab driver even tried to speak English to me. Of course I refused and decided to give him the address in Hebrew. We got lost.
Although, it might have just been the driver. I don't think that people are supposed to be driving in both lanes here at the same time. I could be wrong of course, but it seems like all the honks and yells would indicate that our driver wasn't among the best Israeli drivers. I don't know whether eating and sleeping are allowed at the wheel either. Especially going at the food with a fork and knife while doing 90km...
